PESHAWAR: Khyber Medical University (KMU) Peshawar released the results of Medical and Dental Colleges Admission Test (MDCAT) 2025 within just 24 hours after the peaceful and transparent conduct of the exam, setting a new benchmark for professional competence and performance.

A total of 39,986 candidates had registered for the test, out of which 38,447 candidates appeared for the exam, which constitutes 96 percent of the total registered candidates, while 1,539 candidates, i.e. 4 percent, remained absent. In addition, one case was reported under Unfair Means (UFM).

According to the official results, 894 candidates (2.33%) scored between 170 and 180 marks, 3,516 candidates (9.15%) scored between 160 and 169 marks, 3,658 candidates (9.51%) scored between 150 and 159 marks, 3,253 candidates (8.46%) scored between 140 and 149 marks, 3,115 candidates (8.10%) scored between 130 and 139 marks, 2,961 candidates (7.70%) scored between 120 and 129 marks, 3,080 candidates (8.01%) scored between 110 and 119 marks, 2,887 candidates (7.51%) scored between 100 and 109 marks, 2,817 candidates (7.33%) scored between 90 and 99 marks, while 12,258 candidates (31.88%) scored 89 or less marks.

According to the overall analysis, 53.26% candidates scored 55% or more marks, which qualified them for admission to MBBS under the PMDC policy, while 58.43% candidates scored 50% or more marks and qualified them for admission to BDS.

Meanwhile, Vice Chancellor Khyber Medical University Prof. Dr. Zia-ul-Haq congratulated all the successful candidates and their parents and wished them well for their future academic and professional careers. He said that the announcement of the results within just 24 hours after the peaceful and transparent conduct of MDCAT is a manifestation of the tireless work and professional performance of the KMU team.

He further said that this achievement is a source of pride not only for Khyber Medical University but also for the provincial government and the entire province. Professor Dr. Zia-ul-Haq said that in the next phase, admissions to government sector medical and dental colleges will be started soon, while in the third phase, admissions to private sector medical and dental colleges will be started.
