ISLAMABAD: Following the government’s announcement of a significant increase in high-octane fuel prices, KIA and Haval Motors provided guidelines for their customers on using fuel in their vehicles.
Both famous Auto Companies released statements on their official Social Media pages on Tuesday, urging their consumers (Vehicle Owners) to use Hi-octane fuel, which is not necessary but recommended to use in their cars. However, the cars are designed and tested to operate efficiently using unleaded fuel with a minimum octane rating of RON 91+, as clearly specified in the Owner’s Manual.
Customers can confidently continue using RON 92 fuel (commonly sold as Super or Premier), which is widely available across Pakistan, without any concerns regarding performance or reliability. Usage or mixing of Hi-Octane fuel is not mandatory for Kia models in Pakistan.
They advised the customers to refuel only from reputable and trusted fuel stations with uncontaminated and unadulterated fuel. “Our authorised dealer network remains readily available to assist you with any further queries or guidance you may need,” The statement reads.
GWM Motors, in its statement, said that all GWM vehicles are optimised for RON 92 across trusted fuel stations nationwide.
