PESHAWAR: Advisor to the Chief Minister of Khyber Pakhtunkhwa on Sports and Youth Affairs, Taj Muhammad Khan Tarand, has announced that the “Under-21 Games” organized by the Khyber Pakhtunkhwa Sports Department is officially starting from today.

These games will be officially inaugurated by Chief Minister Khyber Pakhtunkhwa Sohail Afridi. Founding Chairman’s Vision: Taj Muhammad Tarand says that these competitions are being organized as per the vision of Founding Chairman Imran Khan, which aims to promote sports in the province and attract youth towards positive activities.

More than 5,000 male and female players from across the province will showcase their talents in these competitions. 38 different sports for men and 18 different sports for women have been organized in the Under-21 Games.

The Sports Advisor clarified that equal opportunities are being provided to women and people with special needs in these games so that every section of society can showcase their talents. These sports competitions will be held in various sports complexes in Peshawar (Hayatabad), Mardan, Kohat, and Charsadda.

The provincial government is spending huge funds on rehabilitating sports infrastructure and providing the best facilities to the players. Taj Muhammad Tarand further said that the players of Khyber Pakhtunkhwa have always brought glory to the country at the national and international levels, and the best talent of the province will emerge through these games.

The closing ceremony of these competitions will be held in Peshawar on February 7.
