BANNU: Bannu police on Thursday suspended two police personnel after a protest by the university students for their alleged violence against them.

The protest by the students of Bannu University and Marwat Society against the alleged insulting and abusive behaviour towards the students continued for the past few days. After the protest and negotiations, the Bannu Police took action and suspended two personnel.
According to the details, during the protest, the students had demanded that immediate action be taken against the police officials who misbehaved with the students, dragged them and took them to memory.

After the protest that lasted for four hours, the district police administration held talks with the students, as a result of which the road was opened for all traffic.
The officials who were suspended on the instructions of the District Police Officer include ASI Hameedullah and official Irfanullah.

The students called off the protest after their demands were accepted.
On this occasion, the students said that the four-hour peaceful protest has proved that the consciousness and standards of the students are still alive today, and they know how to raise their voices for their rights.
