PESHAWAR: The Khyber Pakhtunkhwa government has appointed 156 Assistant Sub-divisional Education Officers across the province. Issued orders to the newly appointed ASDEO on Monday.

Khyber Pakhtunkhwa Minister for Elementary and Secondary Education, Arshad Ayub Khan, distributed fresh appointment and adjustment orders among 156 newly appointed Assistant Sub-Divisional Education Officers (ASDEOs) during a ceremony held at the Committee Room of the Education Department. Secretary Education Muhammad Khalid Khan and Directress Education Naghmana Sardar were also present on the occasion.

Addressing the ceremony, the Minister said that these appointments hold great importance in improving the overall performance of the department, ensuring transparency in school-level administration, and translating the ongoing reforms into effective implementation. He added that all appointments were made purely on merit and through a transparent process, with the assistance of the Provincial Public Service Commission.

The Minister further stated that the inclusion of these newly appointed officers in the Management cadre would strengthen the system, fill the existing gaps, and help execute the department’s reform agenda more effectively.

Arshad Ayub Khan directed the Education Department to initiate a six-week specialised training program for the newly appointed ASDEOs from next week. The training will cover educational management, school monitoring, reform implementation, and service delivery models to enhance their administrative capacity.

Congratulating the new officers, the Minister remarked that their selection on merit brings with it a heavy responsibility. “Education is a sacred profession, and it is now your duty to contribute actively towards further improving the education system,” he emphasised.

In conclusion, Arshad Ayub Khan reaffirmed the government’s commitment that, under the guidance of the Chief Minister of Khyber Pakhtunkhwa, practical measures will continue
to ensure meaningful and result-oriented reforms for the betterment of the education sector.
