PESHAWAR: The Peshawar High Court (PHC) on Thursday announced winter vacations for all courts across the province.
According to a statement issued by the PHC, it has announced winter vacations for 2025-26 for all upper and lower courts across the province.
It said that all lower courts of Khyber Pakhtunkhwa will remain closed from December 24 to January 1. While the vacations have been announced for the Peshawar High Court judges, commencing from December 29 to January 12.
Therefore, the Peshawar High Court staff will be on winter vacation from December 29 to January 6.
KP announces winter vacations for educational institutions
The Higher Education Department (HED) Khyber Pakhtunkhwa on Thursday issued a notification regarding the winter vacation schedule for public and private universities, colleges, and degree-awarding institutions (DAIs) for the academic year 2025-26.
According to the notification, educational institutions located in the summer zone or plains will have winter vacations from December 23 to December 31, 2025.
Also, institutions situated in the winter zone, which includes mountainous and snow-bound areas, will observe holidays from December 23, 2025, to February 28, 2026.
This decision applies to all relevant public and private sector institutions across the province. The department has directed the concerned authorities to widely publicise the schedule to ensure that students, faculty members, and administrations receive timely information.
