PESHAWAR: With the approval of Chief Minister Ali Amin Gandapur, the portfolios of the Khyber Pakhtunkhwa Cabinet have been changed as Meena Khan Afridi was named Senior Minister, while Sohail Afridi was assigned the Ministry of Higher Education.
Provincial Minister Meena Khan has been given the portfolio of the Communications and Works (C&W) Department. On the other hand, Khyber Pakhtunkhwa Chief Minister Ali Amin Gandapur has given the status of his Special Assistant, Sohail Afridi, as a provincial minister. Sohail Afridi has been assigned the portfolio of the Higher Education Department.
It should be noted that yesterday, the Khyber Pakhtunkhwa Chief Minister changed the portfolios of several ministers, advisors, and special assistants while reshuffling the provincial cabinet.
Hameed-ur-Rehman, a member of the Provincial Assembly elected from Bajaur, was appointed as the Chief Minister’s Special Assistant. Arbab Asim has been appointed as the Special Assistant for Elementary and Secondary Education. He has been given this portfolio after the resignation of Faisal Tarakai.
Provincial Minister Khaliq-ur-Rehman has been given the charge of the Health Department, while Fazal Shakoor has been given the Tourism Department. Health Advisor Ehtesham Ali has been given the Excise Department. Zahid Chanzeb has been appointed as the Labor Advisor.
Special Assistant to the Chief Minister Dr. Amjad has been promoted to provincial minister. Pakhtun Yar has been given the Sports Department, while Fakhar Jahan has been given the Public Health Engineering Department. Similarly, Special Assistant Israr has been given the charge of the Irrigation Department.
