PESHAWAR: The polling for the Khyber Pakhtunkhwa Senate by-election has concluded, and according to the results, Khurram Zeeshan from Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI) has emerged victorious.

A total of 137 assembly members cast their votes. Khurram Zeeshan secured 91 votes, while his opponent, Taj Afridi, received 45 votes. One vote was rejected.

Following his victory, Khurram Zeeshan expressed his gratitude to Allah Almighty and thanked his leader, Imran Khan, as well as all the elected assembly members. He stated that he would advocate for the true freedom of Pakistan in the assembly. He emphasised that their priority should be the genuine freedom of the country, rather than becoming slaves to power, position, or authority.

Khurram Zeeshan also noted that as long as he is alive, he anticipates facing threats, but he remains committed to his mission and will not back down.
