‎Leading leaders of the Khalistan movement demanded that they want freedom from Indian occupation.

They also announced a $1 billion ($1 Billion) contribution to join the “Board of Peace,” a global peace institution created by US President Donald Trump. The development comes at a time when Donald Trump has issued the charter of this new board to resolve global disputes.

‎Sikhs for Justice (SFJ) leader Gurpatwant Singh Pannu and other pro-Khalistan leaders say they want freedom from “Indian occupation” and are seeking international mediation for this purpose.

Khalistan leaders have announced that they are ready to provide one billion dollars as per the charter of the Board of Peace so that the issue of Khalistan referendum and Punjab independence can be made a part of regular negotiations at the global level through this platform.

‎ A one billion dollar partnership has been set as a condition for President Trump to get a permanent seat in this board. Many countries of the world, including Pakistan, have been invited to join it, while Pakistan has indicated its acceptance of its membership.

‎This offer by Khalistan leaders has sparked a new debate in international diplomatic circles.

‎India has always called the Khalistan movement against its integrity. New Delhi has expressed strong reservations about the possible inclusion of any such movement in the Board of Peace.

‎President Trump sees this board as an alternative to the United Nations, where global issues can be directly addressed on the basis of “financial partnership”.

‎If this offer is accepted, it will be the first time that the Khalistan issue will be discussed on such a large scale on a major international platform.
