The National Highways and Motorway Police (NHMP) have advised the drivers to keep away from these roads and follow the updates through official sources. The fog, which has covered a lot of the areas in the country, is likely to continue impairing traffic for several more hours.
The drivers are warned to take the highest precautions while driving on the roads that are open and they should please wait until the situation is back to normal before taking any trips. Accidents resulting from the low visibility will be dealt with as emergency teams have been dispatched to rescue the stuck drivers and clear the road.
The weather pattern has triggered a seasonal reminder of the difficulties that affect road safety in the area.
