CHARSADDA (Alaf Khan Sherpaw): Significant developments have emerged in the murder case of two female teachers who were shot dead in Charsadda.
According to the statement of Naeem Jan, his sister Mismat Sadrat and her colleague, Nida Shamsher, were attacked by unidentified motorcyclists on Darul Uloom Islamia Road on the morning of December 11, 2025. Mismat Sadrat died on the spot, while Nida Shamsher sustained critical injuries. She was initially shifted to DHQ Hospital Charsadda and later referred to Lady Reading Hospital Peshawar, where she succumbed to her injuries.
Police investigations have identified Usman Ali and Zohaib as alleged suspects in the case. Authorities claim the attack was planned on the instructions of Mismat Sobia. Preliminary findings suggest that Nida Shamsher was the second wife of Muhammad Azam, while Sobia was his first wife, and a domestic dispute is believed to have led to the fatal incident.
The case has been registered in the court of Tahir Khan under Section 164 based on a recorded statement. Police say raids are underway to apprehend the suspects, and further legal action is in progress.
