Field Marshal Syed Asim Munir said that the day is not far when the people of Kashmir will see the dawn of freedom as per their aspiration.
He said this while addressing a ceremony in Muzaffarabad in connection with Kashmir Solidarity Day. He paid tribute to the martyrs of the freedom movement and laid wreaths at the Jammu and Kashmir Martyrs’ Memorial and appreciated the bravery and sacrifice of the Kashmiri martyrs. According to the ISPR, during a meeting with local personalities and senior military officials, Field Marshal Syed Asim Munir emphasized Pakistan’s unwavering political, moral and diplomatic support for the people of Indian-occupied Jammu and Kashmir.
He said that Indian atrocities, human rights violations and Hindutva-based abuses have failed to suppress the legitimate struggle and aspirations of the Kashmiri people. Reiterating his support for the Kashmiri people, Field Marshal Syed Asim Munir said that Kashmir will soon see the golden days of freedom as per the will and destiny of the Kashmiri people.
He further said that Pakistan will continue to highlight the Kashmir issue in every international forum in complete solidarity with the Kashmiri brothers and sisters and will continue its support until a just solution is reached in accordance with the resolutions of the United Nations Security Council. The Field Marshal also praised the high professionalism, passion, determination and combat readiness of the officers and men deployed in Kashmir. On this occasion, the Field Marshal also visited the frontline post and met the soldiers deployed there.
He said that any aggression will be responded to promptly and befittingly and the Pakistani armed forces are fully prepared in the context of modern threats.At the beginning of the visit, Field Marshal Syed Asim Munir was received by Corps Commander Rawalpindi.
