RAWALPINDI: Junaid Akbar Khan, President of PTI Khyber Pakhtunkhwa and MNA, while taking notice of the concern shown by the opposition leader Mahmood Khan Achakzai, has remarked that he completely abides by every decision of his party. He admits that there are differences within PTI.

“After the party head Imran Khan, many members said that they are the leaders themselves,” he told the media. “PTI is my home. Disagreements, complaints, and differences are a norm in politics, he added.

Junaid Akbar also said Achakzai needed time to adjust to the party’s culture. He declared that he had raised his own concerns earlier in the week, noting that “issues should be highlighted with clarity and solution”.

He emphasized that politics within PTI allows space for debate. Otherwise, most of the political parties in this country allow no difference of opinion due to strict control. On a question, without naming anyone, he even referred to a recent Basant celebration, “We were busy protesting all day.”

Junaid Akbar raises flag of rebellion against his own party’s parliamentary leadership

Earlier, Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf provincial president Junaid Akbar Khan has raised the flag of rebellion against his own party’s parliamentary leadership by flatly refusing to accept the party’s parliamentary procedures, the chief whip, and the decisions of the parliamentary leader.

In the alleged audio, Junaid Akbar Khan can be heard criticizing his own party’s internal system in a state of extreme anger.  “I will quit from the parliamentary committee. I do not accept any chief whip or parliamentary leader.”

“Did we come here to eat the stoves? They will speak every day, and we will just keep playing at the desk.” He announced that he would no longer sit with the party and would request the Speaker of the National Assembly to allocate him a separate seat in the House.

Junaid Akbar also expressed his sadness that elected representatives are not allowed to speak or ask questions even on important national and provincial issues like terrorism. According to sources, Junaid Akbar Khan had been unhappy for quite some time with the “occupation of a few people” within the party and the lack of consultation in important decisions.

He believes that even in important sessions like the budget, only specific members are given representation, while others are used for “ceremonial attendance”. Despite being the provincial president, he has been ignored in the decisions of the parliamentary party, which is being cited as a major reason for his displeasure.

He made it clear in the audio that there has been grouping within the party, and they will no longer tolerate the arbitrariness of anyone’s “loved ones”.
