PESHAWAR: Jamiat Ulema-e-Islam-Fazal(JUI-F) Central Secretary General Maulana Abdul Ghafoor Haideri said that party workers will observe Black Day on February 8 on the instructions of party Chief Maulana Fazlur Rehman.
According to Maulana Abdul Ghafoor Haideri, on the occasion of Black Day, meetings will be held and protest rallies will be taken out in every city of the country, while peaceful protests will also be recorded in front of press clubs. He clarified that this protest will be carried out in an organized, peaceful and democratic manner.
The JUI Central Secretary General said that by observing Black Day, it will be conveyed to the rulers that the election to be held on February 8 are not acceptable to the nation in any way. According to him, the election results are not a true reflection of the public mandate.
Maulana Abdul Ghafoor Haideri alleged that unsuccessful candidates were declared successful through Form 47, which is a blatant robbery of public opinion. He said that JUI-F considers this process against democracy and will continue to raise its voice against it at every constitutional and democratic forum.
According to political observers, after this announcement by JUI, the political atmosphere of the country is likely to heat up further, while the protest demonstrations to be held on February 8 may prove to be a turning point in the country’s politics.
