PESHAWAR: Jamrud Police foiled the supply of alcohol and recovered 35 bottles of liquor being supplied to various locations for New Year’s night celebration.

According to details, Ittehad Khan, in charge of Nawab Shah Shaheed Chowki under the supervision of SHO Jamrud Siddique Khan, arrested the suspect Hameed Khan, son of Himat Khan, resident of Kohat Road, Peshawar.

During a routine patrol, 35 bottles of alcohol were recovered from his possession.  The police have taken the accused into custody and registered a case against him and started further investigation.

SHO Jamrud said that during the initial investigation, the accused Hameed Khan confessed to his crime. The accused was trying to smuggle alcohol to different places in the city on the occasion of the New Year, which was foiled by the Jamrud Police.
