Israeli police brutally beat people celebrating Christmas in Haifa and the West Bank city of Bethlehem, and arrested several people.
Videos circulating on social media show police officers forcibly arresting citizens dressed as Santa Claus. Israeli settlers set fire to a Christmas tree in the occupied West Bank. According to reports, Israeli police suddenly entered a music hall in Haifa and stopped a Christmas celebration, and confiscated the goods there.
On the other hand, despite Israeli restrictions in the occupied West Bank, the Palestinian Christian community is celebrating Christmas. According to the report, the December 25 celebrations in Bethlehem were held for the first time since the start of the war on Gaza.
Palestinian Christians said that on one hand they are remembering their dead relatives killed in Israeli bombardment, while on the other hand Israeli forces commit new crimes against them while celebrating this holy day. They appealed to world leaders to restrain Israel from the atrocities being carried out against Christian minorities.
