A senior Pakistani journalist, Aizaz Syed, who is associated with Geo News, has claimed that the Israeli Ambassador, during a foreign embassy event, stated that Israel had invested significantly in Imran Khan.
Aizaz Syed made this assertion during a private television show that aired on Tuesday. He recounted, “I was present at a ceremony at a European embassy, where the Israeli ambassador said that we had invested a lot in Imran Khan.”
He elaborated, “I was in a European country, attending a gathering with the Israeli ambassador present. He was unaware of who was sitting in the audience, so he spoke candidly at the ceremony. He mentioned that both Israel and we had invested heavily in Khan Sahib, but he did not perform up to the expectations we had for him.”
Syed also mentioned that he attempted to record this moment but did not receive permission. In response to a question from the anchor, he added, “Khan Sahib will not provide any statement about Israel. His former in-laws have very deep ties with Israel and with Jewish families.”
