ISLAMABAD: A traffic diversion plan has been issued for the areas surrounding G-6/2 Imam Bargah due to the Al-Quds Day rally, scheduled to begin at 9:00 AM on the morning of the event. Authorities have urged citizens to avoid unnecessary travel and use alternative routes to minimize congestion.
The police will stop traffic at various points which requires people to find other routes. The police will direct traffic from Kalthoom Plaza and Fazal Haq Road to Jinnah Avenue. The police will direct F-6 and F-7 residents to use Poly Clinic Road. Drivers must turn from Luqman Hakim Road to G-6 Municipal Road and President Road.
The police will stop traffic around CDA Hospital which is located near Imam Bargah G-6/2. The drivers need to use G-6 President Road and 7th Avenue for their driving route. The traffic at Poly Clinic Quarters Chowk on Luqman Hakim Road will redirect vehicles to G-6 Municipal Road, President Road and 7th Avenue.
The alternate routes for travelers who use China Chowk on Fazal Haq Road will be F-6 Service Road and Shaheed Millat Road. The police will control traffic flow between Fazal Haq Road and Shaheed Millat Road.
The authorities announced that no vehicles or motorcycles are permitted to park at the emergency entrances of Poly Clinic which consist of both the new and old entrances.
The police ask citizens to develop their travel routes before the rally because this will help them bypass traffic delays and arrive at their destinations punctually.
