ISLAMABAD: Federal Information Minister Attaullah Tarar said that the Islamabad attack was planned in Afghanistan and the entire strategy was made by the Tehreek-e-Taliban(TTP) leader Noor Wali Mehsood.
Addressing a Press Conference in Islamabad, Attaullah Tarar said that terrorist elements could not reach a high-value target in the court. He said that Sajidullah Alias Sheena was the handler of the suicide bomber, as he met with TTP leaders in Afghanistan, where he received the directives from Noor Wali Mehsood, while the suicide bomber, Usman Shinwari, is a resident of Nangrahar province in Afghanistan.
He said that the suicide bomber could not reach the high-security location. The first location was found on the outskirts of Islamabad, which was targeted by the suicide bomber.
The Intelligence Bureau and CTD arrested four suspects immediately after the attack. He said that the Intelligence Bureau and CTD arrested Sajidullah alias Sheena, Kamran Khan, Muhammad Zali, and Shah Munir within 48 hours of the attack, the handled Sajidullah alias Sheena brought the suicide bomber and the jacket.
The Information Minister said that Sajidullah joined the Tehreek-e-Taliban Afghanistan in 2015. He received training in various training camps inside Afghanistan. He informed that in 2023, Sajidullah met a person named Dadullah, and this attack was planned by Fitna al-Khawarij and TTP chief Noor Wali Mehsud through his commander Dadullah. Dadullah is currently in Afghanistan.
Sajidullah Sheena’s confession revealed all the links to terrorism. All the arrested terrorists were in touch with each other through an app. He said that today, all the facts of terrorism have been put before the nation and the world
