Deputy Prime Minister and Foreign Minister Ishaq Dar met with Saudi Arabia’s Deputy Foreign Minister, Waleed bin Abdul Kareem Al-Khuraiji, in Jeddah during the 22nd Extraordinary Session of the Organisation of Islamic Cooperation (OIC).

During their meeting, both sides explored ways to strengthen the strategic partnership between Pakistan and Saudi Arabia. They emphasized the importance of expanding bilateral cooperation in political, economic, and security matters.

Additionally, the delegations reaffirmed their commitment to maintaining close coordination within the framework of the OIC. They highlighted the necessity of collective efforts to promote peace, stability, and security in the region.

Both Pakistan and Saudi Arabia expressed confidence that their ongoing collaboration would enhance unity within the Muslim world and help tackle shared regional challenges.

DPM/FM Senator Mohammad Ishaq Dar met with Hissein Brahim Taha, the Secretary-General of the OIC, during the extraordinary CFM held in Jeddah.

The Foreign Minister emphasized Pakistan’s strong condemnation of Israel’s recognition of Somaliland and reaffirmed Pakistan’s steadfast support for the sovereignty, unity, and territorial integrity of Somalia. He categorically rejected any proposals that would result in the dislocation of Palestinians and reaffirmed Pakistan’s principled stance on the Palestine issue.

Furthermore, the DPM/FM urged the Secretary-General to intensify efforts towards realizing the right to self-determination for the Kashmiri people. In response, the Secretary-General commended Pakistan’s consistent and constructive role within the OIC in advocating for the causes central to the Muslim Ummah.
