Obesity may also decrease one’s self-confidence, as some people find themselves inferior or isolated due to their physical condition. Although obesity is a negative phenomenon in most societies, it is still considered by the large community as a challenge or an opportunity, however, in any case, it leads to individuals who are retarded to be subjected to mockery, discrimination, and social exclusion, thus those obese become more depressed, lonely, and insecure.
