A high-level delegation from Iran, led by Parliament Speaker Mohammad Bagher Ghalibaf and accompanied by Foreign Minister Abbas Araghchi, arrived in Islamabad to participate in the Islamabad Talks.
The delegation was received at the airport by Deputy Prime Minister and Foreign Minister Ishaq Dar, along with National Assembly Speaker Ayaz Sadiq, Chief of Army Staff Field Marshal Asim Munir and Interior Minister Mohsin Naqvi.
According to officials, the visit is aimed at advancing dialogue under the Islamabad Talks framework, with a focus on regional developments and ongoing diplomatic efforts.
Ishaq Dar expressed hope that all parties would engage constructively in the talks. He reiterated Pakistan’s commitment to facilitating dialogue and emphasised the country’s desire to support efforts aimed at achieving a lasting and durable resolution to the conflict.
