NEW YORK: The Iranian ambassador to the United Nations Amir Saeed Iravani revealed that United States and Israeli military attacks resulted in the deaths of more than 1300 Iranian civilians.

He explained in his statement that the military operations produced widespread destruction of civilian infrastructure which resulted in the demolition of 9669 sites that included 7943 private residential buildings.

The Iranian Ambassador proved that the military operations targeted both public infrastructure and residential neighbourhoods.

He confirmed that four Iranian diplomats died in an Israeli airstrike that struck Beirut. The airstrike occurred on March 8 when Israel targeted a hotel in the Lebanese capital.

According to Iranian media reports, the victims included a Military Attaché, a Military Mission Officer and the Second and Third Secretaries of the Embassy.

The Iranian Ambassador sent an emergency letter to the United Nations Secretary-General, Security Council and General Assembly Presidents. The letter explained the tragic deaths of diplomats who died in the Israeli strike.

Trump confident in swift victory: White House on Iran war progress

Earlier, White House spokesperson Carolyn Levitt said that the objectives of the Iran war will be achieved quickly and US President Trump is confident about it.

According to the spokesperson, the operation will be carried out until the objectives set by the US president are achieved.

The spokesperson also announced that the US Navy has not provided any protection to any ship in the Strait of Hormuz.

It has also been mentioned that Trump and his energy team are monitoring the market and that there is still the option to do so.

It has also been reported that the Pentagon announced that 140 US soldiers have been injured in the Iran conflict over the last 10 days.
