NEW YORK: Iranian President Masoud Pezeshkian has welcomed the recently signed defense pact between Saudi Arabia and Pakistan, terming it a move towards regional stability.
Addressing the United Nations General Assembly, the Iranian president said, “We welcome the defense agreement between Saudi Arabia and Pakistan. It marks a good starting to guarantee the safety of the area by cooperating with other Muslim countries.”
President Pezeshkian denounced Israeli hostility in a wide-ranging address, accusing Israel of breaching Iran’s sovereignty and starting assaults in Syria, Yemen, and Qatar.
“Notwithstanding these Attacks and the enemy’s attempts to split the Iranian people have kept us united and strong,” he noted. “Our people continue to support our military troops, even amid sanctions and a worldwide media war.”
Highlighting the peaceful character of Iran’s nuclear program, the Iranian head reiterated that Iran has no intention of creating nuclear weapons. Criticizing the European Troika and the United States for levying unjust penalties, he called the world to put double standards against Iran to an end.

Pezeshkian said, “Security cannot be achieved via the use of force.” “We denounce Israel’s criminal assault on Qatar and emphasize that Iran remains determined to peaceful development within its national laws.
