TEHRAN: Iran has issued a strong response to the aggressive statements made by US President Donald Trump, saying that more mistakes by the Americans may lead to disruptions in international energy and trading routes all at once.
Ali Akbar Velayati, who is the senior advisor to the supreme leader of Iran Ayatollah Khamenei, has said that the resistance front considers the Bab al-Mandab Strait on par with the Strait of Hormuz. He went on to say that any mistakes by the Americans will have catastrophic consequences for global energy and trading.
The judicial body of Iran also gave its reaction to the Trump statements, stating that the resilience of Iran has made Trump mad and thus forced him to resort to using such base language.
The Vice President of Iran, Mohammad Reza Aref, condemned Trump for putting the citizens of his nation at risk of harm during his intimidation tactics toward other people.
Addressing President Trump, the Speaker of ranian Parliament, Mohammad Baqer Qalibaf, stated that Trump’s war crimes won’t do him any good and the way he behaved had led the families in America to hell. He also emphasized that due to his blind obedience to Benjamin Netanyahu, the Israeli Prime Minister, the entire region will be set ablaze and the only thing he can do is respect the rights of Iranians.
In Pakistan, the Iranian Embassy issued a statement calling for the impeachment of President Trump due to his unfair attitude.
Additionally, the Iranian Mission to the United Nations issued a statement claiming that if the UN had a conscience, it would not stay silent on Trump’s open threats. The mission denounced Trump’s warning against destroying the vital infrastructure in Iran as direct evidence of war crimes, calling upon the world to stop them from becoming even more heinous.
Additionally, it was argued that such major war crimes need to be stopped immediately, as it is the duty of all countries and the international community to take action before it is too late.
Before this, Trump threatened Iran with severe consequences if the Strait of Hormuz were to stay shut. This was also accompanied by harsh remarks towards the country. If Iran failed to reopen the strait, President Trump would bomb civilian structures, which would spell doom for Iran.
President Trump also added, “If Iran doesn’t open up the Strait of Hormuz, then hell is going to rain on them. Wait and watch.”
