ISLAMABAD: On International Women’s Day, Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif extended his warm greetings to the women of Pakistan and the world. He particularly honored the mothers, daughters, and sisters of Pakistan, recognizing their pivotal role in shaping society.

This year’s theme for International Women’s Day, Rights, Justice, and Action: For All Women and Girls, highlights the commitment to safeguarding women’s rights. Prime Minister Sharif emphasized that the protection of women’s rights is integral to the sustainable development and national prosperity of the country.

He stated that the collective progress of the nation hinges on equal opportunities for women and their meaningful inclusion in every sector. The Prime Minister celebrated the relentless hard work, determination, and invaluable contributions of Pakistani women, which serve as a source of pride and strength for the nation.

From education to sports, and from the home to the government, the resilience and achievements of Pakistani women are playing a revolutionary role in building a strong and prosperous nation.

Women in leadership roles such as the Prime Minister, Speaker of the Assembly, Chief Ministers, and within the judiciary, law enforcement, healthcare, education, business, and the armed forces are forging new paths for future generations.

The government remains steadfast in its commitment to ensuring an environment where women can fully realize their potential without fear or discrimination. Prime Minister Sharif reiterated that Pakistan has strong legal protections in place for women’s rights, reflecting the country’s determination to combat harassment and exploitation.

Ensuring access to quality education for women, financial inclusion, supporting women entrepreneurs, workplace safety, and effective measures against harassment and violence remain key priorities of the government.

The Prime Minister called for a collective effort to create a society where every woman enjoys dignity, respect, and equal opportunities for progress, steering Pakistan towards a more just, developed, and inclusive future.
