Ganderbal, Kashmir: A fierce gunfight between the Indian military and Kashmiri freedom fighters is currently in progress in the Arhama area of the Ganderbal district in central Kashmir. It has been reported that multiple members of the Special Operations Group (SOG) of the Jammu and Kashmir Police have sustained injuries during the ongoing gunfight.

The Indian security forces have stepped up their operations in the area, and the Inspector General (IG) of Kashmir has arrived at the scene of the gunfight to assess the situation. The gunfight between the two sides has been described as intense, with both sides engaging in heavy exchanges of gunfire.

However, there has been no official report from the authorities regarding the situation and the number of casualties. The security forces have cordoned off the area, and reinforcements are reportedly en route to the area.

The region has witnessed an increase in tensions in recent years, with frequent gunfights between the Indian military and Kashmiri separatists who want greater autonomy or independence for the region.
