India stabbed Iran in the back as the country is currently facing a systematic and well-thought-out “information warfare,” the fabric of which is similar to India and Afghanistan.

According to reports, the Indian intelligence agency RAW and the special cell of the Afghan agency GDI are active in spreading poisonous propaganda and fabricated narratives against Iran on social media.  In particular, fake news is being spread through Indian and Afghan handles on ‘X’ (Twitter) to turn Iran’s internal protests into a global crisis and damage the prestige of the Iranian state internationally.

India’s attitude towards Iran is a reflection of the old proverb that ‘a knife in the armpit, a ram in the mouth’. On the one hand, the New Delhi government is feigning friendship and economic cooperation with Tehran through projects like Chabahar, while on the other hand, behind the scenes, the same RAW officials and social media teams are conspiring to destabilize Iran.

During the 2025 Iran-Israel war, evidence has emerged that India indirectly helped Israel through technology and intelligence channels. The most worrying aspect is that Indian technicians working on important projects like Chabahar port have allegedly left such ‘software bugs’ (loopholes) in Iranian infrastructure through which sensitive Iranian data can reach external powers.

This hypocritical attitude shows that India is a “snake in the sleeve” that is spreading espionage and instability in the name of development. This is a threat not only to Iran but also to the peace of the entire region. Pakistan is a strong supporter of Iran’s sovereignty, peace and long-term stability. Islamabad clearly believes that any instability in the region will have repercussions on the entire regional security architecture, which is a poison for overall development.
