KOHAT: We often surrender in the face of difficulties, but Kohat’s daughter Inayat Fatima has proven that if the intentions are high, even anemia and physical weakness cannot stop the path to success.

This fearless daughter, who has been fighting a deadly disease like thalassemia for the past 24 years, has created a new history by obtaining a BS degree in Psychology from Kohat University with an outstanding GPA.

Inyat Fatima’s life was challenged shortly after birth when she was diagnosed with thalassemia. Where patients suffering from this disease lose courage due to repeated blood transfusions and physical recovery, Ianyat made books her weapon. Not only did she bravely fight her illness but she never let it affect her education.

Inayat Fatima recently completed her graduation in Psychology from Kohat University of Science and Technology (KUST). The highlight of her success is her outstanding GPA, which is a testament to her hard work and dedication to studies. The university’s teachers and fellow students call her a “ray of hope.”

Talking about her success, Ainiyat Fatima said “I chose psychology so that I could understand the pain and mental anguish of patients who are suffering from some chronic disease. In the future, I want to work for thalassemia patients so that I can make them realize that they are not a burden to society but an asset.”

The story of Aineet Fatima is a lesson for all those youth who give up their goals because of small problems. She proved that illness can weaken the body, but not the spirit. Her parents and the local people are extremely proud of her success and demand that the government take special steps for the higher education and employment of such courageous daughters.
