The Pakistan Tehreek-i-Insaf (PTI) key leaders have been barred from travelling abroad over the 9 May vandalism, as 132 of the party leaders have been added to the Exit Control List (ECL).

The federal government has officially approved the addition of names of central leaders from various political parties, including the Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI), to the Exit Control List (ECL).

This decision comes as the government intensifies its efforts to address elements accused of inciting political unrest.

According to reliable sources, the names now included on the ECL are of PTI founder Imran Khan, Shah Mehmood Qureshi, Omar Ayub, Fawad Chaudhry, and Shibli Faraz. Additionally, former Khyber Pakhtunkhwa Chief Minister Ali Amin Gandapur, Shehryar Afridi, and Usman Dar have also been barred from traveling abroad.

Other individuals placed on the ECL include Shireen Mazari, Zartaj Gul, Musarrat Cheema, and Kanwal Shauzab. Furthermore, Sheikh Rasheed, Sheikh Rashid, Tahir Sadiq, Raja Basharat, and Wasiq Qayyum are also prohibited from international travel, as reported by sources.

It is noteworthy that the Punjab Home Department had recommended the inclusion of 132 names in the ECL.
