Federal Minister for Communications Abdul Aleem Khan has taken notice of the tragic accident that occurred on the M9 Motorway and has ordered an immediate investigation into the incident. The Federal Minister issued new guidelines that vehicles with worn, weak, or expired tires should not be allowed to enter the motorway.

The Federal Minister has directed the Inspector General of the National Highways and Motorway Police to conduct a thorough inquiry and submit a detailed report as soon as possible. He emphasized that the vehicle fitness checking process should be made more stringent, particularly regarding the condition of tires.

Abdul Aleem Khan stated that vehicles with worn, weak, or expired tires should not be allowed to enter the motorway. He insisted on a comprehensive inspection of all vehicles before they access the motorway to ensure the safety of passengers and their property.

While acknowledging that strict inspections of commercial transport are essential, he also stressed the importance of conducting complete safety checks on private vehicles. The Minister directed the Motorway Police to enforce the prescribed safety norms rigorously for all vehicles operating on national highways and motorways to prevent such unfortunate accidents in the future.

Abdul Aleem Khan expressed deep sorrow and grief over the loss of precious lives in the accident. He extended his heartfelt sympathy and condolences to the families of the deceased and prayed that Allah may grant them patience, as well as a speedy recovery to those injured.

According to the authorities, investigations into the incident are ongoing from various angles, and measures to further tighten safety protocols on the motorway have been decided.
