Responding strongly to Prime Minister Modi’s statement, Pakistan Cricket Board Chairman Mohsin Naqvi said that if war is the measure of your pride, then history has already preserved your humiliating defeats at the hands of Pakistan.
‘No cricket match can change this fact. Linking the game to war only shows frustration and hurts the spirit of the game.’ Mohsin Naqvi made it clear that linking the game to war narratives is not only unnecessary but also damages the true spirit of the game. It may be recalled that India defeated Pakistan in the final played last night to win the title, however, the Indian team refused to receive the trophy from PCB Chairman Mohsin Naqvi, which reflects the tension in the cricketing relations between the two countries. India defeated Pakistan in the final of the Asia Cup cricket tournament and won the trophy, however, after this victory, politics also took over the game of cricket. The Indian cricket team did not receive the trophy from Pakistan Cricket Board Chairman Mohsin Naqvi. On the other hand, Indian Prime Minister Narendra Modi also remembered Operation Sindoor.
Adopting a military style on the social media platform X, he wrote that Operation Sindoor had the same result on the cricket ground. ‘Operation Sindoor on the field of game, the result is the same, India is successful! Congratulations to our players.’
