Out of the different types of food, sugary drinks, caffeine, and processed foods are the main reasons for root damages.
What Are the Foods and Drinks That Can Harm Our Hair?
The main culprit in the destruction of hair roots are super sweet coffee, hot chocolate, and soft drinks which are consumed in large amounts.
Blood Glucose Level: Sweets like cakes, biscuits, and other sugar products can cause a sudden surge in blood glucose levels which may have an adverse effect on the hair.
Consumption of ultra-processed snacks like chips, ice cream, and chocolates can be the root cause of your hair becoming weak.
Fried Items: Donuts, chips, and other fried products can cause the scalp to become irritated, thus the hair-growing process would be disturbed.
Nutritional experts claim that sugar limited to a certain level can lead to the secretion of insulin in large amounts. Simultaneously, this hormone reduces the energy given to the hair cells which may ultimately lead to hair being less thick and more fragile.
In the cold season, individuals prefer to eat goodies like chocolate, cookies, and fried foods which are regarded as comfort foods. Habitual consumption of these could harm your hair health.
In addition, the professionals say that shedding is not always a serious issue. Hair loss may occasionally be a short-term problem due to lack of vitamins, changes in hormones, or other health issues. In contrast, if hair shedding lasts for a long time, one should consult a doctor.
