ABBOTTABAD: The Hazara Motorway has been closed for a second consecutive day at the Havelian Interchange due to a sit-in protest by workers of Pakistan Tehreek-i-Insaf (PTI), who are demanding the release of the party’s founder.

According to police sources, the provincial government has decided not to forcibly remove the protesters from the motorway, allowing the demonstration to continue at the site.

As a result of the closure, traffic has been diverted to the Karakoram Highway and Hazara Road, leading to increased congestion and significant delays. Commuters are experiencing considerable difficulties due to the prolonged blockade, with long queues of vehicles reported on alternative routes.

Authorities have advised travelers to plan their journeys accordingly, as the situation remains unresolved.
