TIMERGARA, Lower Dir: The Khyber Pakhtunkhwa government came under fire from Hafiz Naeem ur Rehman, the Emir of Jamaat-e-Islami (JI), who asserted that the “change government” simply turned out to be a source of destruction.

Hafiz Naeem speaking to the students who were present at the Bano Qabil program in Lower Dir mentioned that he would disapprove of the Taliban’s connections with India even though the ceasefire had some good points, and he cautioned the withdrawal of India’s support for Afghanistan would never take place.

He referred to the situation getting worse concerning law and order in Khyber Pakhtunkhwa, accusing the government of being part of the problem, and at the same time making it more difficult for the opposition by banning political activities which would eventually, he feared, cut off the people from the government.

Hafiz Naeem emphasized that in KP 37% of the children have not yet joined schools. He is convinced about the Bano Qabil venture that the young generation will be trained with IT skills to the tune of 2 million, and the trained will be empowered to support their family through self-employment.

He asserted that the state is obliged to educate every child at no cost and cited the shocking figure of 30 million kids in Pakistan deprived of education, with a staggering 10 million in Punjab alone. “If the state does not create jobs and provide modern education, the youth will inevitably revolt against the rulers,” he cautioned.

Hafiz Naeem called upon the government to reinforce the educational and employment causes supported by Jamaat-e-Islami and Al-Khidmat Foundation by offering scholarships to the toppers of the Bano Qabil program for higher studies and overseas employment.

He concluded by saying Pakistan has the potential to lead the world but incompetent leadership distracted by internal conflicts is failing the country. He appealed to the public to join Jamaat-e-Islami’s upcoming gathering at Minar-e-Pakistan to support systemic change.
