PESHAWAR:  The Khyber Pakhtunkhwa (KP) government has decided to pay advance salaries and pensions of the month of march to government employees and pensioners on the occasion of Eid-ul-Fitr.

A formal letter in this regard has been sent to the Chief Secretary, all administrative secretaries, commissioners, deputy commissioners, district and session judges, and relevant institutions to ensure implementation of the decision.

According to a letter issued by the Khyber Pakhtunkhwa Finance Department, the provincial government has decided that the full salary and allowances of March 2026, as well as the full pension to pensioners, will be paid before Eid-ul-Fitr. The letter states that these payments will be made on March 16, 2026, instead of April 1.

According to the Finance Department, this decision has been taken due to the expected date of Eid-ul-Fitr being March 20 or 21, so that government employees and pensioners can prepare for Eid in a better way. The advance payment will be applicable to all Muslim government employees and pensioners of the province.
