LAKKI MARWAT: The Khyber Pakhtunkhwa Health Department has suspended 61 employees in a case of negligence and mismanagement at the District Headquarters Hospital, Lakki Marwat.

According to the notification, including Medical Superintendent of the DHQ Lakki Marwat, Dr Akbar Zaman, Dr Muhammad Ismail, and Dr Waqas Ahmed have been removed from their posts and are directed to report to the DG Health Office.
It said Dr Umar Hayat has been appointed as the new Deputy Medical Superintendent, while Dr Jan Bahadur has been given the additional charge of DMS.
During the action, 61 employees who were absent from duty at DHQ Hospital have been suspended, and action has been initiated against them under the E&D Rules 2011.
Show-cause notices have also been issued to those responsible for the recovery of expired medicines from the hospital store.
The health department maintains that negligence and negligence will not be tolerated in government hospitals under any circumstances.
It should be noted that some time ago, the DG Health Khyber Pakhtunkhwa made a surprise visit to DHQ Hospital and expressed strong anger over the non-availability of medicines and poor facilities.
