ISLAMABAD: The Federal government has strongly denied recent reports claiming that the Tirah Valley is being evacuated under military orders. The government has taken notice of these misleading claims which it describes as baseless, malicious and politically motivated.
The federal government stated that these claims are intended to create public panic while spreading inaccurate information about security agencies and achieving personal or political objectives. The federal government together with the armed forces has not yet issued any evacuation orders for Tirah Valley.
Law enforcement agencies maintain their regular security operations through intelligence-based operations which target terrorist groups. The ministry confirmed that these operations proceed without disturbing the daily activities of nonviolent civilians who require no population movement or evacuation from their homes.
Local residents have expressed their concerns about armed groups in Tirah while they seek peace and stability for their community.
The Khyber Pakhtunkhwa Relief Rehabilitation and Settlement Department released a notification on December 26 2025 to distribute approximately PKR 4 billion. The funds are intended for possible temporary and voluntary population movement in certain areas of Tirah Bagh to prepare for emergencies.
The government explained that these funds will support both preparatory and relief operations which include transportation and food supply and cash assistance and the setup and operation of temporary registration and relief centers.
