PESHAWAR: Faisal Karim Kundi, Governor Khyber Pakhtunkhwa said that PPP has no intention of sitting in the opposition benches at this moment and emphasized that they are still supporting the ​‍​‌‍​‍‌​‍​‌‍​‍‌government.

Addressing the press Kundi emphasized the held awards event, for leading provincial athletes and coaches. He mentioned the creation of an application designed to aid young athletes and stated that initiatives will be undertaken to secure sponsors to support the players.

Concerning the sports facilities, in the province Kundi stated intentions to talk with the Chief Minister about setting up sports fields pointing out that merely three to four grounds have been created over the last 11 years.

He also commented on political matters in Punjab, noting that the 27th constitutional amendment will follow the 26th, but politics and politicians will continue to play a key role, stressing that Parliament remains the supreme institution.

Afghan soil being used against Pakistan: Governor Kundi

Earlier, Khyber Pakhtunkhwa Governor Faisal Karim Kundi stated that Afghan land is more being utilised for operations, against Pakistan emphasizing that the nation retains complete authority to retaliate.

While addressing at the Frontier Corps (FC) Headquarters, in Peshawar the governor honoured the personnel who lost their lives in assaults stating that the citizens of Khyber Pakhtunkhwa hold their security forces in high regard.

He mentioned that Pakistan has consistently notified officials that militants are active, from Afghan territory and carrying out assaults within Pakistan. “Pakistan is fully entitled to react” he further stated.

Governor Kundi highlighted the importance of intelligence-driven operations asserting that these efforts are crucial, for re-establishing peace in the area.

He condemned the Afghan government stating it is failing to pursue the goal of aiding its citizens whereas Pakistani troops are daily eradicating “the threat of Kharijis.”

“We have hosted Afghans for decades, but now a decision must be made regarding how to move forward with Afghanistan,” Kundi remarked.
