LOWER DIR: Khyber Pakhtunkhwa Governor Faisal Karim Kundi criticised the Chief Minister of Khyber Pakhtunkhwa, stating that as long as the Chief Minister continues to operate on the old salary, his government will function in the same manner.
Speaking to the media in the Timergara area of Lower Dir, Governor Kundi mentioned that targeted operations are ongoing in the province, with security personnel being martyred daily. However, the Chief Minister claims that no operations are taking place in the province.
Kundi urged the Chief Minister to come to the parliament and clarify whether he stands with the state or with the terrorists. He alleged that the Khyber Pakhtunkhwa government has effectively handed over the entire province to terrorists, resulting in a situation where no citizen feels safe, even in the Chief Minister’s own district.
The Governor stated that it is not the Chief Minister’s role to negotiate with Afghanistan; rather, this responsibility lies with the federal government. He pointed out that the Chief Minister had previously gone to Afghanistan and reportedly brought back 40,000 terrorists, and now intends to return for more.
Additionally, Governor Kundi expressed concern over the increasing corruption in the province, remarking that while corruption is on the rise, relevant institutions remain silent spectators.
