PESHAWAR: The provincial governor of Khyber Pakhtunkhwa, Faisal Karim Kundi, stressed that the region’s uplift and economic growth depend on peace and declared that operations based on intelligence against the nation’s foes, especially the terrorists, are ‘inevitable’.
According to a statement released by the press secretary of the governor, Faisal Karim Kundi and Federal Interior Minister Mohsin Naqvi met at the minister’s residence to discuss in detail security situation in Khyber Pakhtunkhwa and recent incidents of terrorism.
The secret rendezvous also included the ongoing operations against the banned militant group Fitna-ul-Khawarij in the different districts of Khyber Pakhtunkhwa, the Pakistan-Afghanistan issue, and the collaboration of the two countries for the region’s long-term peace. The two top leaders confirmed to the security personnel that they were not only aware of the effective operations against the India-backed insurgents, but also praised such actions.
The governor Kundi and minister Naqvi expressed their sympathies to the families of the policemen who were killed in the terrorist attack on the Police Training Center and the adjacent NADRA office in D.I. Khan.
