CALIFORNIA: Google announced the Career Certificate Scholarship Program to equip youth with in-demand digital skills and enhance their career and employment opportunities worldwide.
As part of the program, selected youth will receive free training at the expert level in recognizable areas of need, including IT Support, Data Analytics, Project Management, Digital Marketing, Cybersecurity, and UX Design. The program is designed to align with the needs of the new digital economy and equip youth with skills that are ready for market.
The length of each course is six months, following which participants will receive a professional certificate issued by Google. The courses will be taught on the online learning platform Coursera.
As if that were not enough, no academic background or employment experience whatsoever is required to apply — only dedication to learning and completion of the courses.
