CALIFORNIA: Google has introduced a very practical new tool meant to enable them to more effectively manage their overflowing inboxes. Directly in Gmail notifications, the tech behemoth has incorporated a “Mark as Read” button so that consumers can easily mark unneeded or unimportant emails as read without opening the program.
Many users whose inboxes accumulate hundreds or even thousands of unread emails over time struggle with a regular issue this tool solves. Recent studies show that an average Gmail user gets around 10 to 11 emails a day, which may not seem like much, but when ignored, unopened messages can pile up fast.
Previously, the only way to remove unread alerts was by personally opening each email using either the Gmail browser or app. Users on Android phones may now simply tap the “Mark as Read” button from the notification itself, hence saving priceless time and lowering litter.
Before it was formally made available to all Android users, this function had been under testing for many of months. Android users will now gain from a similar, easy experience as iPhone users already have from the Gmail app.

By reproducing other popular messaging programs like WhatsApp’s “Mark as Read” choices, Google is further committed to increasing user experience and productivity.
This upgrade has made it simpler than ever to manage a congested inbox so that consumers may concentrate on essential emails free from being overloaded by unread alerts.
