KARACHI: The local gold market in Pakistan witnessed a clear decline in gold prices today, providing a brief window of relief for consumers and investors.
According to the All Pakistan Bullion Gems and Jewellers Association, the price of gold per tola dropped by Rs 3,000, bringing the new rate to Rs 488,462.
The downward trend was also reflected in smaller denominations, as the price of 10 grams of gold decreased by Rs 2,572 to settle at Rs 418,777. This local adjustment follows a significant dip in the international market, where gold became cheaper by $30 per ounce, falling to $4,657.
In contrast to the gold market, the price of silver remained stable. Silver per tola showed no change and continued to be traded at Rs 7,744.
