Gold prices in the country have dropped significantly at the beginning of the new year. On the fourth day of the business week, the price of gold has decreased by Rs 2,400 per tola, bringing it down to Rs 454,562.
Similarly, the price for 10 grams of gold has fallen by Rs 2,058, now standing at Rs 389,713.
It is noteworthy that in 2025, there was an overall increase of Rs 184,362 in the price of gold. At the end of last year, the price per tola was recorded at Rs 456,962, while at the close of 2024, it was Rs 272,600 per tola. Therefore, in 2025, gold per tola became more expensive by Rs 184,362.

The Gold prices as reported on Thursday morning, the new year has seen an increase with Rs 464,450 per Tola.
According to the All Pakistan Sarafa Gems and Jewellers Association, the price of 24-carat gold per tola is Rs 463,500.
While the price of silver per tola has also increased by Rs 152 to Rs 5,422. On the other hand, gold per ounce in the global market has increased by $ 77 to $ 4,142.
