ISLAMABAD: Gold prices have once again decreased in both the global and local markets after three days.

According to data released by the All Pakistan Sarafa Gems and Jewellery Association, the price of 24-carat gold fell by Rs 600 per tola, bringing it to Rs 422,462. Additionally, 10 grams of gold is now priced at Rs 362,193, a decrease of Rs 514.

The price of silver per tola also dropped by Rs 18, resulting in a new price of Rs 5,094. In the global market, the price of gold per ounce fell by $6, now standing at $4,001.

It is noteworthy that there was stability observed in the prices of gold and silver in Pakistan on Friday, with the price of gold per ounce remaining unchanged at $4,007 in the international market, significantly affecting local Sarafa markets. On that day, the price of 24-carat gold per tola was stable at Rs 423,062, while the price for 10 grams of gold also held steady at Rs 362,707. Silver prices remained unchanged as well, with silver priced at Rs 5,112 per tola and Rs 4,382 per 10 grams.

Earlier on Thursday, gold prices had recorded a significant increase after two days of decline in both global and local markets. According to the All Pakistan Sarafa Association, the price of gold per tola had risen by Rs 3,700 to Rs 423,062, while the price of 10 grams of gold increased by Rs 3,122, bringing it to Rs 362,707. While the price of 10 grams of gold remained stable at Rs. 362,707.

Silver prices also remained stable, with the price of silver remaining unchanged at Rs 5,112 per tola and Rs 4,382 per 10 grams.
