ISLAMABAD: Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI) Chairman Barrister Gohar strongly condemned the recent remarks made by Federal Information Minister Atta Tarar, calling them “highly irresponsible” and “an attempt to sabotage national unity at a critical time.”
Gohar said that people are mourning and attending funerals following recent attacks, and it is crucial for leaders to condemn terrorism responsibly. He added that he had previously appealed to the nation to view all bloodshed equally and condemned such acts without discrimination.
He warned that Tarar’s statements would allow terrorists to gain more power because national unity is vital for fighting against shared threats.
Barrister Gohar emphasized that PTI, and he personally, denounce such remarks under any circumstances and urged the Information Minister to apologize to the nation for making such statements during a period of mourning.
Minister Tarar used a press conference to accuse PTI of bringing back terrorism while he claimed his government had already eliminated that threat.
Federal Information Minister Atta Tarar rejects rumours about any offer to PTI
Earlier, Federal Information Minister Atta Tarar has strongly rejected the news about any kind of talks or offers from PTI, calling them completely baseless.
The Federal Information Minister said that the news of offers to PTI is completely false, and every few days, these stories are made without any facts. He strongly rejected these rumors and said that there is no truth in them. Atta Tarar further clarified that there is no question of the government making any kind of offer to PTI and such news is tantamount to misleading the public.
Senior journalist and anchorperson Abdul Malik has revealed that the government has made the last and final offer to Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf. Anchorperson Muhammad Malik has reported in his TV program that the government has made a final and definitive offer to the PTI.
The offer made by the government has shown its willingness to form a completely new Election Commission, change the electoral laws, and hold general elections within a year, and this offer has been agreed upon in high-level hybrid meetings.
Senior journalist Muhammad Malik says that in recent days, one or two important and high-level meetings have been held in which two major decisions were made, and these decisions have been conveyed to the relevant constituencies. In these meetings, it was decided that a final and firm deal should be sent to the PTI so that the political deadlock could be ended.
According to the deal, the PTI should return to parliament, play an active role in parliamentary committees, and become part of the parliamentary system. In return, the government is ready to reconstitute the entire Election Commission, including the Chief Election Commissioner, and make such changes in the laws that can make the upcoming elections free and fair.
Muhammad Malik says that the biggest point of this package is that the government has agreed to hold elections one year before the end of its constitutional term. Senior journalist and anchorperson Muhammad Malik has said that this decision will not be made a day earlier or a day later, but elections will be held within the agreed time, provided that this deal goes ahead.
He added that if these matters are settled, then within one to one and a half years, there may be improvement in Imran Khan’s legal affairs and relief for his associates, but all this has been presented by the government in the form of a package.
According to journalist Muhammad Malik, this deal should have reached the PTI leadership in a day or two, but it has not been officially confirmed yet. He says that this decision in the meeting was final and there was no room for further discussion or arguments on it. Whether PTI accepts it or rejects it, the decision has been left to them.
