PESHAWAR: Khyber Pakhtunkhwa’s ex-Chief Minister, Ali Amin Gandapur has stated that the only way to obtain lasting peace and stability in the region is through constructive engagement between Pakistan and Afghanistan.

Gandapur while evaluating the regional matters claimed that it is negotiations, not the tales of violence that can ensure peaceful coexistence in the region. He urged the two neighboring Muslim countries to bring in the understanding and diplomatic attitudes instead of emotional ones so that the relationship can be based on peace and brotherhood.

He admitted that Pakistan has always prioritized peace, mutual respect, and regional cooperation and cited the case of the country’s hosting of Afghan refugees for over four decades, treating them as siblings and partners in the struggle.”Gandapur stated, “War is not a solution.” “Dialogue opens the way for development and security. This has also been the policy of Imran Khan to overcome the issues through talks, not through tension.”
