PESHAWAR: Khyber Pakhtunkhwa Chief Minister Ali Amin Gandapur has stated that he has informed the Pakistan Tehreek-i-Insaf (PTI) founding chairman Imran Khan that his sister Aleema Khan is in contact with various vloggers and is leading a campaign against him and the Pakistan Tehreek-i-Insaf (PTI). He mentioned that the party is experiencing internal rifts due to his relationship with his sister, Aleema Khan.
In a video statement following a meeting with PTI founder Imran Khan, Ali Amin Gandapur asserted his loyalty to the PTI founder, asserting that only weak and hypocritical individuals voice complaints, while no one dares to criticise the founder directly.
Gandapur also said that any decisions regarding changes in ministerial positions within the province are made in consultation with the party founder. He informed that Asad Qaiser had been briefed about the performance of the ministers seven months ago.
I had informed both ministers Aqib Khan and Faisal Khan about the reshuffling in the cabinet on the directions of the PTI founding chairman.
He said that I told the founder that the division in the party has increased a lot, and after presenting the budget, a treason campaign was launched against him. If we had not passed the budget, then we would have been legally disqualified.
“He was told that I was working on minus Imran Khan.”
Ali Amin Gandapur said that he told Imran Khan that no one can go against him, but a few people were forming groups for personal interests.
He said that I told Imran Khan the truth without caring about his position. Imran Khan’s family was valuable to them, but he told the founder that the Vloggers were increasing the differences, and Aleema Khan was supporting them.
He added that he has informed the founder that such a campaign was spreading disappointment in the party, which was harmful and instead of taking steps for his release, differences will increase.
The Chief Minister further said that he was given the task of gathering the members of the assembly in Lahore, and when I took everyone, fatwas were issued. I was accused of holding Senate elections while you gave the names of the candidates.
Earlier today, two provincial ministers of the Khyber Pakhtunkhwa assembly resigned from their portfolios amid political conflict in the party.
