The Group of Seven (G7) nations, in a joint communique, have called for the immediate cessation of attacks targeting civilians and civilian infrastructure worldwide.

The statement underscored that there can be no justification for deliberately targeting civilians, stressing that such actions constitute clear violations of international humanitarian law and established global norms.

The G7 also placed significant emphasis on supporting measures aimed at mitigating global economic shocks, with a view to ensuring the uninterrupted flow of international trade and energy supplies.

Furthermore, the communiqué reiterated the importance of maintaining freedom of navigation in the Strait of Hormuz, describing it as critical for the secure transit of global trade and energy resources.

The statement concluded by affirming that G7 countries will continue to work closely with the international community to stabilise the situation and minimize humanitarian suffering.

The G7 countries have expressed deep concern over the rising oil prices due to the ongoing war between the US and Iran and demanded US administration to end US-Iran war to protect the world economy.

In emergency meeting of the G7, the group has urged US to stop Iran war and open the strait of Harmuz to save global economy. They decided to bring 400 million barrels of oil to the market to keep prices under control.

US President Donald Trump has informed the G7 leaders that Iran is close to defeat and the war will end soon. On the other hand, the new Supreme Leader of Iran has threatened the US with a “catastrophic end”.
